OINIADES

1/4
Unique monument and one of the most imposing because of their very good preservation are the Shipsheds or dockyards. The Shipsheds located in the southwest end of the harbor fortification, which dominated the "Kokkinopyrgos" and the oblique arched gate, the so-called "Avloporta", and the ruins of a second tower also large in size and with an oblique floor plan that protects it.
The theatre of Oiniades is near the Agora of the ancient city in a position that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding plains. From the auditorium, which is carved in the local gray limestone of the region, have survived only nineteen rows of seats. On the southwest side were masons rows of seats, some of which bear inscriptions from the liberation.
