MUSEUMS

It is housed in the stone mansion of the Palamas Family, where Kostis Palamas lived for several years. The collection of the museum includes photos, personal items, and many exhibits about the life and work of the great poet.

The museum houses the entire project Vasso Katraki and consists of approximately four hundred works, many engravings and reprints much of the molds (wood and stone) on which she drew her projects.

The Trikoupis Museum is located near the Messolonghi lagoon and the Kostis Palamas Museum is situated exactly opposite of it. 

DIEXODOS Centre of Culture and Art is situated in an 18th century building. It served as the home of Athanassios Razi-Kotsikas, who was born in this house in 1798 and was later elected commander-general by the Messolonghi combatants.

​The Gallery of Contemporary Art of Christos and Sophia Moschandreou in Aitoloakarnania, was established in a renovated building of 1829, in order to house the collections of the founders, thus preserving the Greek culture and developing cultural activity in the Greek region.

Located in the central square of Messolonghi, named after Markos Botsaris and it is housed in the old Town Hall. It is a neoclassical building built in 1932 furing the mayorship of Christos Evangelatos.
